I can't change the background on my desk top. When I right click and select properties all of the options are "greyed" out so i can't select them. All i can change is the color. Can any one help? I've run every type of adaware and spybot product i can find. Ran all kinds of virus programs and nothing. Any Ideas?

Destiny, It's possible that Active Desktop is enabled. To Disable Active Desktop. Open the Control Panel.
Open Display Properties.
Click the Desktop tab.
Click the Customize Desktop button.
Click the Web tab in the Desktop Items window.
Make sure all checkboxes in this window are un-checked including My Current Homepage.
Restart your computer.
If that doesn't correct the problem go to the link below and under the letter "W"--"Wallpaper - Desktop - Disable Changing" click on "Allow Wallpaper/Background Changes" to download a reg file fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.Allow Wallpaper/Background Changes

Are you a user on a Domain? If so, there may be a GPO preventing you from changing specific items in Windows.

Hey there Destiny, what a beautiful name by the way.
Umm.. Your problem has to do with changing something within the Regitry Editor or RegEdit.exe
I hope you are familiar with what is regedit. If not then click on your Start button then click on the Run button it's ussually under the search button.
When u see the little Run screen that appears type RegEdit click Ok or Enter key
Once you are in there look for the following:
HKEY_CURRENT USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERSION/POLICIES/SYSTEM
if u se this: C:\Windows\Web\desktop.html
delete it
Override
