cant boot--says floppy disks fail(40)

July 10, 2010 at 12:09:12
Specs: xp pro, 1400mhz/515mg
I had my sys drive crash and put in a new one so I could run a ghost file and everything be ok. I used pqmagic to
partition the primary drive and logical dr and formatted it.
went to boot up and it reads both HD and both cd drives then sticks on the msg above. I have unpluged the pwoer cable
and the ribbon cable so it shouldnt even be present. I arranged the boot sequence to go cdrom then hard disk. still I get this message about the floppy.
any ideas I can use to get this booted up. I even put in another flopy drive but got the same thing.
thanks in advance

Try selecting boot from hard drive first, disable the other options in the bios.
