I am having a problem with the computer booting up- when the power is turned on, the ATI video bios runs and puts the ATI Icon up on the screen, then, instead of seeing the mem check, ect, the screen goes to "F1 Mainboard hit DEL for Bios setup" it is not the usual DOS looking page, that prompts you to hit the DEL key to enter bios setup- this is a white graphic with "F1" in Blue, and all it says is to hit Del to enter Bios setup- hitting the Del key does nothing. Neither the floppy or the harddrive tries to access either. I have already reset the CMOS with the F1 jumper, no change- I read another post about boot problems that involved the memory being bad, this machine has been working fine for over a year, but who knows, and I am guessing that since the mem check screen never appears, this may be the problem, but I thought I would ask the experts before I go out an get more RAM..... |
