Hi Ardoban: Your CD cable, where on the motherboard is it connected? Hopefully it is the IDE-2 and not the same one with the hard drive. It will still work, but they always suggest you do not slave it with the hard drive. So, is it it's own master on the second connector? Does it appear under Device Manager?
get the custom windows xp install disk image from bootdisk.com after downloading it, have a formatted floppy in your a: drive and double click the file. then restart with it in your floppy drive, it will load your cd-roms as r: and s: change to whichever you have the cd in and run the install from there.
