Hi i was trying to remove norton antivirus becasue some files got currupted and when i tried to romove it useing add or remove programs it says that i need to be logged in as an addministrator. The weird thing is that when i boot up my computer dosn't ask me if i want to logg in as the addministrator or my user name. can anyone tell me how to logg in as the addministrator all the time. THX

If you want to log in as Administrator, but it is not shown on the Welcome screen,
Hold the Ctrl-Alt key and press Del twice.
This will bring up the normal login and you can log on as Administrator
To unhide the Administrator account show it does show up:Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList
Unhide the Administrator key by giving it a value of 1To uninstall Norton Anti Virus use SymClean, a small program that is used as an emergency manual uninstallation tool that should only be used after you have tried to uninstall NSW using Add/Remove programs, or the Uninstall NSW option through the start menu options. Older versions of NSW must be uninstalled before NSW can be installed.
Why use SymClean?
Normally, NSW is uninstalled through the Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel (this utility is named Add/Change in Windows XP). In some cases the Windows utility will not remove all of the files and registry entries for NSW. However, SymClean removes the files and registry entries that are necessary for NSW to install successfully. How do you use SymClean?
If Norton AntiVirus is installed, whether as a stand-alone product or as a part of Norton System Works or Norton Internet Security, then disable Email Protection and Script Blocking. For more information, see the document that is appropriate for the version of Norton AntiVirus that is currently installed:To download SYMCLN.EXE, navigate to the following URL:
ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/products/norton_systemworks/ver5.0/tools/SYMCLN.EXE
1. In the File Download dialog box, click "Save this file to disk," and then click OK.
2. Set "Save In" to Desktop, and then click "Save". The file will download and be saved on your desktop.
3. Close all other programs.
4. Simply double-click on the SYMCLN.exe icon to start the SymClean utility.
