On our small business network we have XP Pro and 2K Pro running on our clients connecting to a 2K domain controller. The 2K boxes have no problem connecting during logon and using all mapped drives.
The XP Pro boxes login no problem (much slower though) and do map the drives no problem. You can use them immediately after boot but after a period of time (30 minutes or so), when you try and connect to these drives... the machine will hang the application trying to access the share (even explorer.exe) and the connectiion will just time out. This is NEVER an issue on the 2K machines.
