Hi
I am trying to view websites that end in .gc.ca (Canadian government sites), but my browser won't let me access these sites. It gives me the "this page cannot be displayed" message. I can access them no problem on other machines. I have IE7 and I have gone in to Internet Options and reset everything in there back to Default settings. I have Norton Antivirus but I can't see anything in there that would block access.

Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Can you PING the sites?
Try using their IP addresses instead.
e.g. http://10.10.10.10

Hi
I tried to ping the site and it came back that 'request could not find host'. I tried pinging other sites which worked fine. I can access these websites on other computers with no trouble at all...and I can ping them without any problems as well.

Thanks for helping!

Sorry to post so many times!

Actually, when I typed in the IP Address in the url bar, the website DID work. But it still won't work when I type the name for it.

Does this make sense to anybody?
Thanks!

"'request could not find host'"

That's a new one on me. Try pasting in the actual ping session.
