Hi I have a problem. I just setup a home network between 2 of my computers using a crosswire ethernet cable. I got the LAN up and running and i was able to play games on LAN. Now here is the problem one of my computers uses WIN XP and the other uses WIN ME. On my WIN ME computer I can access folders that are in my WIN XP computer by sharing them, but I cannon access folders on my WIN ME computer from my WIN XP computer. I already enabled sharing on my WIN ME computer for the WIN ME folders. When I try to access them from my WIN XP computer this message displays.
NOTE: Hp7920 is the computer name of the WIN ME computer.
"\\Hp7920 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

have you tried using ipx/spx? make sure it is on both computers. you can access that by right cliking on the My networking places icon or through the control panel. Also try using netbeui and netbois, that always worked for me! Good luck
