Comment:

i just built a new computer and put my old hard drive with my windows xp installation in as a slave to my new 120gb drive. my problem is that when i'm on the new windows installation, i can't access my files in the "documents and settings" folder on the old drive, i just get an access denied error. is there a way to access the files?

Take ownership of the directory. You will then be able to access the files.
