Has anyone had problems with Canon scanners??
I installed a USB hub and tried to use my scanner but I couldn't get the scanner to install. I loaded new drivers and it still didn't work. I eventually had to call Canon and they told me that the scanner would not work unless it was hooked directly to a USB port on the computer and not through a hub. Did anybody have this type of problem. And speaking of USB ports,on my computer only one port works out of the two. My mouse only works on the one port and not the other. Does anyone know what would cause this and the way to fix it . Thank you for any help you could send me
thanks,Mikburn

I have a CanoScan D125OU2F

It works perfectly well plugged into a Fujitsu FDX 310 USB Hub

As far as I remember I just plugged it in and Re-Started - Wizard recognised it and I put the CanoScan Disk in - that was it

Telling you the scanner will not work on a hub is routine for most manufacturers; however, it probably will. But you may need a powered hub. You don't give any details about your hub.
You clearly have some problem with your computer if only one USB port works; you might check in Device Manager to see if your USB areas show any problems.
Meanwhile, hope you get things going. Good luck.
