Canon scanner can't conect to TWAIN source

Specs: Windows XP
my scaner shows box when i click for scan pdf
that ubnable to connect to TWAIN source

... you need to install the software/drivers for it to work.

... tells me it can'nt find your "scanner". You could try this:

... install your scanner software first! (...then see if it works)

... download/install this. open the main app "i_view32.exe"

... with the scanner hooked up click onto the "file" (tab)

... then click "Select TWAIN Source..." and select the scanner in the source
box (if it is listed the driver is functioning)

... next click file (tab) then "Aquire" then ok!

I concur. I have also had the same issue a long time back with my usb scanner. I have an old Epson perfection 1200 flatbed. It would not like Twain5 but insisted on Twain4. Would have thought upgrading the drivers would help. Not always. Depends how new/old your devices are.
