Canon s400sp printing problems in XP

Hi has anyone come across a Canon printer in XP that will print 1-2 pages then feed thru 3 or so pages then gets jam'ed up. Printer has been tested by Canon and no fault found. Cables have been changed (USB and PAR) Drivers have been reloaded, all external devices apart from the printer disconnected. Tried many things apart from another printer on the machine which is my next move. Its a new P4, Asus mainboard running XP Home
anyone had similiar problems with any other kind of printers?
