I have a Canon "Ultura" Digital Video Camera. I have been able to edit video on this computer since I got it using this camera and using XP but now for some unknown (to me) reason my computer will no longer link with the camera. I have contacted Canon,they were no help. HP the makers of my computer, again no help and have search the the windows xp site. it did link up a few more times before it stopped.I have restored my computer back to a month ago when I wasn't having problems and that didn't work and I did a complete system restore and THAT DIDN"T WORK!!!!! Can someone please help me. I know for a fact that the camera is fine and I had a friend link his Panosonic digital video camers to my computer and it worked. I so lost!!!

Go to c:\windows\system32\wiaacmgr.exe. Execute this file. This is your Scanner and Camera wizard. Be sure your camera is plugged into the computer and turned on. If the Scanner and Camera wizard fails to find your camera then you will have to reinstall the drivers for your particular camera. If you do not have them then consult the manufacturers web site.
