Cannt make computer part of domain

Please help,,,, I am trying to make this computer part of our domain but the domain tab is grey out my only option is the workgroup tab. The ip, subnet mask, default gateway and verything else is correct, i can ping the ip just fine but i cannt make it part of domain. Any help will be much appreciated it.

It says windows xp media, center edition, version 2002 sp2, so i assume is home eddition?

No. It's Media Center. You can't add that machine to a Domain.

You would need to upgrade to pro not home. Just because you have disks does not mean you have a pro license. You need a pro licence to then install pro.

Don't forget you will need to register the new install with Microsoft.

You can not upgrade media center to XP pro.

You will need to format the PC and install XP Pro.

OK then, you need Win2000, WinXP pro or equivalent Vista.
