I am trying to uninstall Norton System Works 2003 and the uninstaller keeps hanging. I tried to delete the program folder and it won't let me. How can I cleanly uninstall this? Is there a utility that will do this without using the programs uninstaller? I tried some, but they all use the norton uninstaller, and it locks up every time. Thanks, Pat

Thanks for the tip. I tried that and it did the same thing, open up the symantec removal app and it locked up. I am looking for something that will remove most or all of the program without the symantec removal app or will get the removal app to work correctly. Pat

Have you tried removing it in safe mode? Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Pat, You should be able to find uninstall instructions for NSW 2003 Standard & Pro Editions (Knowledge Base) at one of the links at the link below. Just click on Knowledge Base for your Edition then type in Uninstall and click the Search button. Uninstall NSW 2003 Tufenuf

Thanks for the help. I used the 5 page manual uninstall guide from norton. It involved removing about 50 registry entries manually. I got it now, thanks so much. It shouldn't be so difficult. Pat
