Cannot send E-mail using Outlook Express

Specs: Windows XP, P4 2.66

My wife and I recently moved and our Internet provider is Time Warner. I still have access to my Optonline e-mail account and receive e-mails. However, I cannot send. From what I read on searches I did on Google, it has to do with port 25. I tried 23, 26 and 2525 as a few websites suggested, but none of them worked. Does anyone know of any work around? I also tried adding my free Yahoo e-mail address in Outlook Express as a backup, but that didn't work. From what I found on the web, I need to install something called YPOPs. Does anyone know what this is? I would love to figure both issues out. Thanks for your help!

When you signed up with Time Warner, you should have been instructed how to set up your email. Why go through all the hassle you're going through now. Use the email your paying for. Call them if you need help and if you can't get it, drop 'em.

Here's a page (supposedly) that will give you the TimeWarner pop and smtp settings. You can then set up your email account in OE manually if you have to.
