Cannot see network with XP

Hi all; Can you any one help I have a small network at home and hooked up 4 computers two are xp and 2 are windows 98, all hooked up and can see the network but one of the xp the amazing part I can go to the internet but not my server why???? which is a linux with samba insalled on it I can access it if I ftp help

I am linux and SAMBA illiterate, but I do know something about Networking.
Can all the hosts connect to the Internet? Are you using the server as a proxy? Does the server have access control lists?
You can ftp it, but you cannot send html through? Is that the problem?
Can all of the windows machines communicate with each other? Can only 3 machines communicate with the server? Can the server communicate with all of the windows machines?
I need more input, and check your grammar, it can be hard to understand someone if a few key words are left out.
