I am unable to use the search features on google or any of the other search engines.everything else on the computer works fine! Thank`s for any help

What happens when you try to search? Need more details. Error message? Lock up? Reboot? Etc?

You're going to need to provide more information if you want help. What do you mean by "I am unable to use the search features on google or any of the other search engines"? Can you enter text into the search field? Can you submit the page? Do you receive any errors? If so, what are they. Give some details about what, exactly is and is not working and any errors or incorrect results you are getting. Michael J

I use IE 7 and Mozilla Firefox and use the google search feature on both Browsers.When I try to access my google mail it starts to load and in the status bar will say waiting to connect to google.com and will show about 4 bars in the progress box but never loads. This is the same situation if I do a normal search Say for example Amazon.I have downloaded IE8 and this has overcome the problem for IE but not for Mozilla Firefox. Thank you for your replies
