Hi--wonder if anyone can shed some light on a problem with Safe Mode. Seems that after entering Safe Mode in my laptop, and selecting any menu ie "safe Mode" , or "safe mode with command prompt" or "safe mode with networking" etc., I can go no further. A list of about 30 directories/folders/files comes up and then sticks with no further action. (frozen screen). All I can do is shut off power. Understand, however, I have no problem booting up normally to my desktop etc. I had read that Spybot and Ad-aware should be run from safe mode, and so thought I would give it a try--WON'T work. Anybody know what's happening?
