After having taken out the wireless adapter and plugged back in i can no longer access my wireless network. Working fine yesterday. When trying to connect automatically it sticks on acquiring network address and waiting for network to be ready. Eventually says that the network has limitied or no connectivity. When i press repair it says it failed on "renewing your ip address" Have tried releasing and renewing ip on ipconfig but to no avail + the dhcp client is definately active. Have also tried to reinstall adapter but this also doesnt make any difference. It will connect properly if i disable TCP/IP services but obviously i then cannot access the internet. I definately have the right WEP entered. The other pc on network which is wired into router is working fine. Also have tried temporarily disabling firewalls on both pcs but makes no difference Any ideas on how to fix this?

grabbing at straws here but there are a few simple things to check:
- check that your TCP/IP configuration is set to obtain IP address & DNS server address automatically
- check your workgroup designation
- check your router configuration to make sure the mac address for your card is still there
You've probably already done all of that but since it isn't a winsock problem that's all I can think of. When you find the solution please post it -- I'd like to learn something here. Good luck.

Have you actually uninstalled the drivers for the adaptor and then reinstalled them again?
If that makes no difference - On the WEP key, I'd disable it on the router and then see if you can connect (I've seen various wireless security issues 'prevent' access, even with the correct key). If you can, just try putting a new WEP key and see if now ok.
