Cannot Remove Encryption!

Hello I have an other type of problem with encryption in windows xp prof. I once encrypted (by mistake) the folder c:\documents and settings\....\Desktop and now i cannot remove the encryption because it says that.. cannot access file, it's read only!!! But it is not read only!! The same thing happened with another folder too! I encrypted it and right after this i tried to remove the encryption and i got the same message! I think that this is a real problem.. what can i do? Thanks! Nick
