Cannot open MIDI files

I am unable to open MIDI files using either Winamp or Windows Media Player . What could be the problem All the other video or music files can easily be opened Please help Thanks in advance Telemachus

I don't know about WMP but when using Winamp you can choose the type of files Winamp can play. Right click the symbol in the upper left corner of an open Winamp session. Choose Options> preferences and verify mid is one of the selected file types.

OtheHill I forgot to mention that MIDI is one of the selected types in Options and Preferences Any other way to sort this out?? Thanks

When you say you are 'unable to open', do you mean that they won't play the files and you get an error message? Or do they play them but you get no audio?
