cannot open IE

Whenever I try to open Internet Explorer I get a window that says: "failed to get data for 'ad', and closes IE with the generic "send report window"
It also appears when I open Windows Explorer, the recycling bin, before popups appear, and other various programs, but will not close those programs.
I've ran ad-aware and tried many different things but to no avail, this is starting to drive me crazy. Thanks

I tried that program and it didn't work. I still have the internet and it works, although I have to go through windows explorer and use that as a internet browser. It only closes when I try to open the shortcut on my desktop and when trying to open links in a new window.
