I get the same result (cannot find). The web address is probably wrong. Try this one:

That particular shortcut you mentioned has a link that contains post data (data that is now obsolete). So when you click on it, it's trying to find data that isn't there, so your browser does its default action of not being able to find the page. If you want to create a desktop icon that links you to your email; stay signed in through Yahoo and create a shortcut on your desktop that links to http://www.mail.yahoo.com and it will automatically sign you in.
