Hi,
ok, i have a network say 5 xp PC's
they all can access a shared folder on one of those PC's
I have since added a sony vaio laptop to the network. and it cannot "map to network" drive with any other existing PC's. They are all on the same workgroup (inc the laptop).
When I go to My Network places (from the laptop) it cannot see any other devices.
I can however map to public folders on other PC's if i map by ip addresses in stead of computer names.

Do you know why this would be?

Thanks
Anthony

If you are running an XP Home network I beleive you can only have 5 machines running on your network and accessing it at the same time...
