Cannot map network drive by name

Hi All, had a brand new faulty router installed on the network, it has since been rma'd but since this time I none of my network drive mappings will resolve, if I remap them using <ipaddress/sharname> they all work fine all PC has been rebooted and all use static IP addresses. Does anyone know how to reslove this, any help greatfuly recieved.

The usual way to map a network drive is via the computer name, not the IP address.
It is not so much the router causing the problem, as the in-built switch. It is probably configured just that little bit different than it was before.
Use the computer name, and every machine has one, and you will eliminate any vagaries of IP addresses. Let the network software work out the IP address which is what it is supposed to do.
Besides, why use fixed IP addresses. Automatic IP addresses save you all this hassle. The facilities are there, why not use them and make things easy for yourself.
