Yesterday when I tried to log in to my aol mail using internet explorer, once I entered my password the computer attempts to open the page but ends up with res://c:\WINDOWS
system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htmI am able to use the internet and open ALL other web pages successfully - I can also retrieve my mail by using my AOL program. However, I cannot figure out why this one page will suddenly not open. (I can even log in under my husband's computer user name with no problem - this only happens on my desktop).
When AOL tries to open the address changes to the following:
http://www.aol.com/?error=16&siteid=aolcomnewprod&authlev=1&sitestate=origurl=http://www.aol.com/?error=16&siteid=aolcomnewprod&authlev=1&sitestate=origurl=http://www.aol.com/?error=16&siteid=aolcomnewprod&authlev=1&sitestate=origurl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.aol.com%2f%3ferror%3d16%26siteid%3daolcomnewprod%26authlev%3d1%26sitestate%3dorigurl%253dhttp%25253a%25252f%25252fwww.aol.com%25252f%25253ferror%25253d16%252526siteid%25253daolcomnewprod%252526authlev%25253d1%252526sitestate%25253dorigurl%2525253dhttp%252525253a%252525252f%252525252fwww.aol.com%252525252f%252525253ferror%252525253d16%2525252526siteid%252525253daolcomnewprod%2525252526authlev%252525253d1%2525252526sitestate%252525253dorigurl%25252525253dhttp%2525252525253a%2525252525252f%2525252525252fwww.aol.com%2525252525252f%2525252525253fsiteid%2525252525253daolcomnewprod%25252525252526authlev%2525252525253d1%25252525252526sitestate%2525252525253dorigurl%252525252525253dhttp%25252525252525253a%25252525252525252f%25252525252525252fwww.aol.com%25252525252525252f%2525252525252526soft%252525252525253d1%25252525252526issitestateencoded%2525252525253dtrue%25252525252526lang%2525252525253den%25252525252526locale%2525252525253dus%252525252526soft%25252525253d1%2525252526issitestateencoded%252525253dtrue%2525252526lang%252525253den%2525252526locale%252525253dus%25252526soft%2525253d1%252526issitestateencoded%25253dtrue%252526lang%25253den%252526locale%25253dus%2526soft%253d1%26issitestateencoded%3dtrue%&issitestateencoded=true&lang=en&locale=us&soft=1&issitestateencoded=true&lang=en&locale=us
I have no idea how to begin correcting this - please help!

Tools -> Internet Options -> Delete Files -> check the box for offline content, hit ok, hit ok again.
Restart IE and try again.
