Microsoft Windows xp home edition w/sp2
October 21, 2009 at 02:32:43
Specs: Windows XP
Every time I boot the system up I get an error that says cannot locate WMDRMSDK.DLL, I have also notice that Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player will not work correctly either. WMP will not open at all and IE will open and shut down almost immediately. If anyone knows how to solve this problem it help out a lot.

Thanks for your time.

I have already tried several of these steps with no success. I also noticed that IE was no longer in the start up menu or on the desktop. I navigated to the IE program folder and found several shortcuts listed as Internet Explorer (2) and so on, I believe it went up to 5 if I remember right. I tried to do a system restore only to be told that it was unsuccessful.

If I try to do a system repair to fix the .dll file that is causing the problem how should I do it?
