my pc had been completely wiped out maybe back in oct of last year. we refurbished everything crutial, but my games and paint and all my accessories are gone and i dont know how to get them back. ive read some similar replies and tried getting it back by following the steps, checking what i wanted from accessories and such but there is no sign of paint.... is there some site or something i can find it under?

jalikoka, Try the small, Free "AccRestore v 2.0" at the link below.

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/accessori...

Here's another option:

Start>Control Panel>Folder Options>View tab, select "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files", click Apply/OK. Now open Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer) and drill down to the C:\Windows\System32\dllcache folder and open it. There you should find a copy of the mspaint.exe file. Right click it and choose "Copy" then open the C:\Windows\System32 folder, find an empty space, right click and choose "Paste". You can then put a shortcut in your C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories folder. This should solve your problem.
