Comment:
I have many Word for Windows 6.0 files produced with the Window95 system and saved on floppy discs. On my new XP ,when attempting to load them, I get the message"Cannot load Word for Windows 6.0 files". I know that the XP will only open RTD's. Is there a conversion system or some other way round this problem?

The free standalone Word document viewer from Microsoft will only read files created with Word version 97 and 2000. You can try it and see what happens. Go HERE to review and download.
