Comment:

When I try to install programs, I get the message "cannot write to registry, you do not have permission, switch to Administrator to install" (Or very close to it.)
This happens with Norton Internet Security 2003 and Microsoft Windows 200 PRO.

I am loggin in as Administrator, I have administrator priveleges.

I did not see anything on MS site, but I did find the problem on Symantecs site.

Their solution is to log out and log in as the administrator. Dang! I am the administrator.

An ideas?

George

I don't know why u can't install Norton or Windows 200 Pro (Office 2000 ??)

But try logging off, press Ctrl/Alt/Del twice to bring up option to logon as system admin (not user admin).

Now u may be able to install these apps.

GoodLuck
