Hi,
I went to the adobe site and used the uninstaller for previous flash and when I try to D/L the flash player 9, I click on it, a new page opens and nothing happens. There is no player installation opening and no error messages. So when I try to view a flash program, all I get is the little box in the left corner.
Can someone please help me with this?
ThanksHopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I closed Internet Explorer, started it again, went to the site again to try again and found it had actually loaded and the animation was seen there.

You will have a heck of a time installing it if you have IE7. I have the same the issues and have been trying to work out a fix..
Non of M$ have been able to get it done.

It's just IE6 and it's strange. This is the 1st PC that refuses to install the flash player....strange.

Just a thought, make sure that java script is enabled before the download.
If your computer says, "Printer out of Paper," this problem cannot be resolved by continuously clicking the "OK" button.

It is enabled, thanbks, anyone else with a solution?

XpUser4Real, You've probably tried this but it wouldn't hurt to try the instructions at the link below again.

thanks Tufenuf, yes, I've tried that 3 times already, rebooting after each uninstallation before trying to re-install version 9
This is a pretty tough installation as far as I can see. I had this same problem on my Gateway PC, but that method had worked. But this Dell is really something else!Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

XpUser4Real, Does the problem computer have SpywareBlaster installed on it? I believe that there is a FlashKiller option on SpywareBlaster you could disable then try to unistall and reinstall the FlashPlayer. Just a WAG.
Tufenuf

Tufenuf, that's a good question. I'll call her in the am and check that out,
thanks for the idea.Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
