I went to use my laptop out of town at my son's...he plugged in the telephone wire and a box popped up telling me I could not connect to a wireless and had to connect to a network..I clicked ok...now when I turn my laptop on...I get my adminstraters sign on and then I get a box that says to sign into Vista Black Dream...It has my name and ask for a password....I cannot even pull up my start page with my icons...please can someone tell me how to get this vista box off my computer and get back to my wireless????

More details would be helpful - post is rather garbled. 'He plugged in the telephone wire' - after you'd logged on the machine? (was this for a dial-up connection). Normally if wireless network not present, you just get a cross on the wireless icon in the tray. Have you got another utility (ie, not windows) loking after your wireless connection? Did you get this popup after logging on, or during logging on (you hadn't ticked the 'log on using dial-up connection' box?) Is it a purely personal laptop (ie, never member of domain at work)? Can your son shed any light on it - just a normal telephone wire?
