Cannot find shell.dll

I am trying to load a program for work. All of the program floppies will load, but after the final disk, I keep getting an error message of "cannot find Shell.Dll " Should I reinstall my winXp disc, and hope the "shell.Dll" will reload.
PS. The Shell. Dll was on my system when I search for it.

You can also try going to Start, Run, typing sfc /scannow (space before slash). That should find or repair missing or corrupt windows system files.
And get some more RAM!

I am downloading some programs, then it says can't found SHELL DLL.Does it mean that the SHELL DLL has been erased or theres some file on the system is gone too? If it's erased, what do i need to do to restore it? thanks...
