I’ve been surfing the net on my dsl connection for a month with no problem. Today I tried to go to http://www.gwmp.net/ and I get Cannot find server or DNS Error
The site is real, others get there.
I can ping it from command prompt.
Help….
New machine, clean XP install with ALL the current patches etc.
I share my dsl with housemate via a NETGEAR MR814Cable/DSL Wireless Router.

Clear temp internet files. delete history and try again. Is possible IE is simply calling up DNS error page from temp file on your PC. The site is there.

type this into the command line:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
In that order. This should renew all of your dns entrys. (if you have a static IP the first and last commands wont work but thats ok)
If you problem still exists then your DNS server does not recognize that URL, which is possible. ping it and take the IP address and put it directly into the browser if all else fails.
