I have some pictures in the recycle bin that will not delete...when I try to, it says "cannot delete...being used by another person or program...please close any programs that may be using this file and try again"...the same thing has happened when i've tried to delete certain pictures in my pictures or my documents...I have even tried re-booting so NOthing and NOone else is using it (no one else uses my computer!)...I have looked through all the other messages and can't find one that fits my problem...it's making it a real hassle to go through the tons of pictures I have! Thank you!

And also, you may want to run scandisk as well (you'll need admin rights to do so). Had the same problem with some audio files recently. A dozen different attempts (including safe-mode, File Shredder and Unlocker) wouldn't delete them from the Recycle Bin. Turns out a Scandisk and then a delete did the trick (they were on a drive that is used quite heavily---likely a problem akin to the old "cross-linked files" error in DOS--since restoring them still wouldn't make them usable)...
