Cannot delete icon

I installed some HP software (printer) and an icon for a "Publish to Web" was created on my desktop. I cannot delete or move from the desktop. Anybody know how to get rid of it? Bill William Lockie

Try right clicking on the icon and untick the read only box.

Are you getting an error message when you attempt to delete ? What message are you getting that indicates why you cant delete.

The icon was associated with HP 'publish To The Web' program. I removed the program and the desktop icon disappeared. Thanks William Lockie
