We have a number of computers at work and needed to add the font ExPonto to them for the jobs we do. We did that quite some time ago and all but 1 are using ExPonto font just fine. The one in question substitutes another font for ExPonto. I checked the Font folder and ExPonto is there, but shows 0K, where the other computers show it as 117K. I didn't add the font, as it was done before I started caring for the computers, so I don't know the particulars of how it was added, but obviously something wasn't done correctly. Now, when I try to delete ExPonto from the font folder, it gives me the message: Cannot delete font. Cannot read from source file or disk. I have tried replacing it, renaming it, deleting it, and booting in Safe Mode to delete, and nothing works. I keep getting that message. I cannot figure out how to get rid of that font so I can add the correct one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Assuming you don't have a floppy drive:
• Boot with a WinXP CD.
• Recovery Console
• Navigate to the Fonts folder
(All this just to get a simple DOS/Command Prompt (!!).)
• Delete ExpontoOr boot with a WinPE, BartPE, Live Knoppix Linux CD, etc. and go beat up on that font.
Of course, if you do have a floppy drive, then it's a whole lot faster, booting to any OS you like, and blast away at ExPonto.
Haven't needed to do it in years, but didn't there used to be a "Fix Font Folder" feature at one time (W95?)?? I think some of those "Tweak" utilities still have that.
