There is one WinZip file I can not delete ( file is "Data.Z" ). Everytime I clicked delete, this file look like gone. But when I try delete the folder, error message said" cannot remove folder, the directory is not empty". Then I click and open this folder, that WinZip file still there. I tried delete this WinZip file under DOS, error message said:" Data.Z is corrupt and unreadable". How do I can delete this file and folder ?

Firstly you can see if you can find its entry inthe registry - be careful when you have done that boot up in safe mode and see if you can delete it trhen - it might be worth going to msconfig and doing a very low load startup

I've seen this problem on some customer's system, sometimes a simple CHKSDK will fix file system errors then let you delete the file.
You can do this from Windows.
Open MY COMPUTER Right-click C drive CLick on PROPERTIES Click the TOOLS tab Click CHECK NOW button Check AUTOMATICALY FIX... You can check SCAN FOR AND ATTEMPT... but this will take much longer CLick OK then click YES to schedule scan on next boot Restart your computer, grab a coffee When done try to delete that file again
This may or may not work but it won't hurt your system. This is sorta like the old scandisk for Windows 98.
Hope it helps
If it ain't broke, don't fix it! If it don't work, kick it!
