Cannot delete emty directory

I got the following big annoying problem: On my FP account, I have a directory that I can't delete. Inside this directory is another directory which cannot be deleted too. Inside this last folder is nothing, but trying to delete he folder gives me the error: 550 dir: Directory not empty
I'm quite sure that there is no file inside (yes, hidden files are displayed!), so what can be the reason ?

You Cannot Delete a File or a Folder
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320081 -------------------- Also try deleting it in Windows Safe-Mode. No programs or drivers running. Hold down F8 during boot.
