Name: Chunko
I have a okb with no extentions and no file name. The only thing that is listed in the details is ">" and "file".
I read some posts on here about deleting these types of files but have not found any posts about this sort of file.
Its in my kazaalite shared folder.I uninstalled kazaalite,the file was still thier.
I tried deleting in dos with no success.
If anyone knows how to get rid of this please let me know.
One more thing;When I tried deleting it in dos,(I closed explorer and all programs when trying)I got a message stating;"A file called C:\program could cause issues with some programs.. renaming this file to c:\program1 would prevent this issue. Would you like to rename the file now?"I chose not to and noticed when starting up (or booting)explorer I would get that message everytime.I just decided to check the "ignore this message"box and it hasnt shown anynore.I checked for posts but only found a couple resposes and no clear answer.Has anyone figured out what thats about?
Thanks.

use trojan remover to scan it,then use the delete feature,it will remove it.
http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/download.html
free thirty day trial,after installing run the update to get the latest definitions.

www,
I Thank you for looking out.I downloaded and ran the scan but it found nothing.I have Norton2003firewall and antivirus,I check for updates daily.
I know I have no trojans (as the scan reported none)as I keep my system clean and I am meticulous when it comes to my security.
Please respond if anyone knows a way to delete the file.
Thanks again.

with trojan remover, right click the file you want to delete, and choose scan with trojan remover,then choose delete this file,then choose ok.

after you right click the file and scan it with trojan remover,it will give you the option to delete it.
(trojan remover is added to your right click menu,it'll be right below scan with norton)

When I did so,I got this error;
"I/O error123."
It then did a scan in "C:\Documents and settings\myself" and found nothing.
I did the full scan with the latest update (again)and it found nothing as before. ):

you might need to delete it in safemode,
or safemode command prompt only.From the Windows Start menu, go to Turn off computer and click Restart.
As the computer restarts, watch for a progress bar at the bottom of the screen. press F8 about once every second.
Immediately press F8 before the progress bar reaches the right side of the screen.
From the Windows Start-up menu, highlight Safe Mode and press Enter.
Wait for your desktop to appear, and then make the necessary repairs (for example, uninstall programs or devices).
When the repairs are done, restart the computer, and allow it to boot normally.
Alternate:
From the Windows Start menu, click Run.
In the Open field, type MSCONFIG and click Ok.
On the BOOT.INI tab, check /SAFEBOOT.
Click Restart when prompted

I tried deleting in safe mode and I get the smae errors as I would noramally.I even tried the wildcard method(*.*).
This is what I get upon trying to delete normally;
Cannot delete file:"cannot read from the source file or disk"
In command prompt I get;
"The file name,directory name or volume lable syntax is incorrect".
Im not sure what to do now!
Any further suggestions would be nice.
Thanks for everyone who posted.

Yes I have,as I posted in my first thread.
Whwn I uninstaled kazaalite,everything but the kazaalite folder and my shared folder(with still that one okb file) was deleted.
I know its not a problem(at least I dont think it is)ButI stil would like to know if and how to get rid of this file.

I don't know if this will help but I found this little Win XP tip.
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_undeletable_file.htm

I tried that method and it did not work.
Also in that article it said;"change to the directory the AVI (or other undeletable file) is located in".
I dont know what that means.
