cannot defrag.

I am trying to defrag. my hard drive and I keep getting a message that I have to have at least 15% of free disk space to defrag.the hard drive.Any sugestions?

like it says how much freespace u have left on your hdd?? are u running any progys in the background? disable screensaver and antivirus.

you cannot run defrag. on a drive that has below 15 percent free space. delete some files or move them in the mean time.. also, turn off screensaver and any programs that run in the background (such as: NAV)
