Comment: i need help! i dont no what to do at all. So ill just start with this. i cant hear any sound since i removed a "PCI" green cable from my speakers to my computer. i tried pluging it back in but it didnt work. then i tried rebooting my computer but then a window saying new hardware found appears everytime i start my computer. it said it coudk installl the hardware because there was no software to support it. finally i went to the device manger and some items there have a yellow exclaimation mark there.so now everytime i wanna play or hear something i cant and it says error "cannot create directsound 00000001". please help.

Reply: Is this where you unplugged your sound on the back of the computer?Mine has 3 plug-in holes side by side but only one is for the speakers.Did you plug it back in the right one.You speakers usually have a crossover wire one goes to speaker the other goes to the a/c plug-in adaptor. Then you have a green color coded jack that plugs into the computer. That is sometimes colored coded on back of computer where you plug it in.If that don't work I would go to the control/panel and remove all sound drivers with the yellow exclaimation mark by them then reboot.I am assuming you have your OEM install disk if sound don't come back.
