Comment:

Up until about a month ago, I had published PDF files on my web site with regularity, using the same computer and OS that are now refusing to do so. Every time I try to publish a web to which I have added a PDF file (in FrontPage), I get the error: "The server unexpectedly closed the connection." Remove the PDF, and the web publishes fine. But I also cannot copy a PDF to a web site using Explorer, either--I get the error message "An error occurred copying one or more of the selected files." This occurs every time--it is not intermittent.

Here's the kicker: I can copy a PDF from my local drive to a network drive or directory, and then copy it from the network directory to the web site! The only operation that appears to be prohibited is copying a PDF from my local disk to a web directory.

This curious behavior may affect other file types, too, but PDFs are the only ones I've discovered so far.

Any thoughts?
