I cant coopy the NtBackup file created automatically in C:\Documents and Settings\wb261923\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\NTBackup\data\*.log to a new destination by command prompt COPY command. I have the Administrative A/C which can copy the log files from that source folder by Explorer.
Here is the error when I execute the command:C:\>copy C:\Documents and Settings\wb261923\Local Settings\Application Data\Micr
osoft\Windows NT\NTBackup\data\*.log c:\Temp\
The system cannot find the file specified. What might be the reason???
Please help me.

Hi! leonardbd, quote directory names when using directory names containing spaces
Eg: copy "C:\Documents and Settings\wb261923\Local Settings\Application Data\Micr
osoft\Windows NT\NTBackup\data\*.log" c:\Temp\Hopes this helps :).

Thanks. It works! I have another problem with NTBACKUP in XP. The backup system stores log file in its own naming convention. Like for backup job name: "Leo c: drive Backup" the log file will generate 'backup01.log'. But for keep tracking these log files it is almost impossible if the log file name keep changing with other backup job.
Is it possible that I could mention the log file name when I give command for a backup job from command line so that the log file name always fix for that backup job?

Hi! leonardbd, do you wish to retain those old *.log files or you just want the latest *.log file (and delete the previous *.log files). Please reply :).

I want to retain the old log file but the log file name should retain for specific backup job. Like if I apply a command for "LEO daily backup" job and the correspondence log file name backup01.log has create I want this log file name will never change with another backup job. Because the log file name changed with another backup job and I cant track the log for future use.
