I am not able to capture analog video on my system using Pinnacle Studio Deluxe with the blue box:
AVDV board, blue box IEEE-1394 cable.
I inserted the board in the cpu slot and loaed the Pinnacle software. the software works with the exception of capturing video. When I go to the video capture option the NTSC option is grayed out.

Are you sure your system specs allow capturing analog video? Most of the systems have been designed for digital video only and those that can capture analog and convert to digital do so by employing a pci board that is specifically designed to do this.

There should be a section somewhere that tells the software to recognize the digital input, or the analog input, or the tv input. You must select one and then try the capture.

I am having the same problem (problem capturing analog video) useing a sharp DV camera, model VL-NZ100U with 1394 Net Adapter and appropriate cable.
Sometimes i can get it to work (capture video), and MOST times i cant. I think i solved the problem, then i try to verify the method that i think solved the problem and once again.... it still doesn't work.
When i first bought the camera, everything worked fine. I've tried uninstalling, re-installing, and uninstalling other drivers on the same IRQ. Still, with no such luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
