I've been having a problem with my philips PCRW 1208 cd burner lately. It works fine when I burn plain files or audio cd's, but when I want to burn bin or iso files it creates corrupt cd's. I don't know where the problem is being caused, cause both cdrwin and Nero say the burning process has finished succesfully. But when I insert the newly created cd in my pc it starts spinning and then stops , starts spinning again, stops, etc. When I try to interact with its contents I get the error " is not a valid win32 application". I already updated aspi and chipset drivers, does anybody hae an idea what else I can try to solve this?

You should be able to burn those file very easily with Nero. I do it at least 3 times a day with no problem at all. Better check out your burner and see if it is compatible with Nero, for all burns!!

burn them at a low speed using fireburner. i've used nero also but since you're having problems with it, try fireburner. you can get a free serial number to register it at www.astaserials.com if you search so you won't have to buy it.

Thanks, I'll try fireburner to see if it helps.

The weird thing is that I've been using nero and cdrwin for years with this burner without any problems, it started to act like this only a few months ago. So it can't really be a Nero compatability thing. I guess the drive itself is just messed up, but then why would it still burn cd's other than iso's and bin's? And why don't I get a burn process failed message?
