Ok, I left my house for a few days, the power bleeped out while I was gone and turned my PC off, so I get home and turn it back on, everything boots up, but I notice Windows to be really laggy, and starts to lock up randomly, etc, then it finally locks up and I have to power down, I then procede to start my PC up again, and it hangs at the Windows boot screen - I cannot access safe mode, either, everytime I try to access I get a Blue screen stating something along the lines of (I'll check and write it down and post the exact message in a bit) "c00002 Unknown Hard Error" then points to a path and a dll (ntdll.dll) - I can't repair from the CD, I can't do anything, any ideas on how to fix this? (I NEED some of the files on the drive, yes I know to backup, I just haven't done anything recently...) - Please help, and thanks.

Also, its not a hardware related issue, I've tested all the hardware and Knoppix Linux boots fine from a CD.

You may need to try a windows repair install.

I'm having a similar problem with some toshiba notebooks. I can't boot XP from the harddisk or cd. I think it was caused by a windows update. I've found, though, that if I remove the ram from the second ram slot (only use the first) the computers work fine. It might be worth experimenting with your ram.
