cannot boot windows xp

I have a serious problem regarding my pc. When it tries to load xp ( u know when u see the screen loading) it suddenly stops-pause there. (without restarting)
i tried to recover it some days before but again the same situation
Also i tried to boot with the original xp cd, i preshed repair and then chkdsk /r to check for erros nothing done again

Did you try booting into Safe Mode and doing a System Restore prior to the problem? That might help. When did the XP boot screen begin to freeze? Yesterday?
