Hello Everyone.

Finally got a computer fast enough to run XP.

I would like to save a word processor file to a CD.

Does XP have a CD burning program, or will I need to buy Nero or something?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Nero has grown into a huge hog at close to 400MB. Here's three of my favorite freebie burning programs. All of them are very small downloads (approx 3MB or less):

CDBurnerXP Pro 4.2.3

DeepBurner 1.9.0.228

ImgBurn 2.4.2.0

Thank-you for the advice, but...

I've tried to put my file on a CD as per the instructions, but I get a message saying

"D:\ is not accessible

Incorrect Function."

There is a blank CD in the drive, so I can't figure out what the problem is.

How are you trying to burn the CD? In XP, I right-click on the file in explorer and select the option to SendTo the appropriate drive letter. Then, open the drive letter with the CD in it, and the files to be burned are listed at the top of the screen. File, write these files to CD is the next step.
